Very tasty! This fish has high culinary value and is typically found measuring 35 centimeters in length, with no minimum size for harvesting. With pale pink flesh that turns white and tender when prepared, Sororoca can be enjoyed in various ways, notably grilled, baked, and in moquecas (Brazilian fish stews). General information

General characteristics

A fish very important for artisanal fishing, as in addition to having good market value, it can be caught almost all year round. The streaked seerfish is a type of mackerel, but smaller. In northeastern Brazil, it is known as "serra."
