With a dark back, silvery sides tending towards yellow, and about eight dark vertical bands, the grunter is a small fish, very abundant on the Brazilian coast, and tastes great fried.

General characteristics
It is a small fish and quite abundant on the Brazilian coast, which is why it is also known as "sea lambari". Be careful when handling this fish, as it has a very sharp (and cutting) spine on the edge of its operculum.
