An abundant species throughout the Brazilian coast, yet little known by consumers. Very white meat, low fat content, and very tasty. It's excellent fried or baked in banana leaves. A fish with an excellent cost-benefit ratio.

General characteristics
It is a small/medium-sized fish with a silvery color. It lives in shallow waters near rocky coasts. Often caught by artisanal fisheries, but little known to consumers.
