General information

General characteristics

Perhaps the most venomous fish on the Brazilian coast! Although not commonly lethal, the spines of the Mangangá's dorsal fins inject a powerful venom that causes severe pain, as well as cardiovascular and respiratory disorders. In addition, it has unique camouflage, with coloration very similar to rocks and coral reefs. Great care must be taken when coming into contact with this fish!
