General information

General characteristics

It lives in deep waters and feeds exclusively on fish. It has bluish-silver scales, an oblique mouth with a large number of recurved and pointed teeth. It has pharyngeal teeth, and the anterior part of its gill arches has sharp projections with toothed inner margins. It has spines on its fins and two dorsal fins.
