There are several species of Mackerel, but in Brazil, the ones most frequently caught are the King Mackerel and the Wahoo Mackerel, depending on the season and region. They are white-fleshed fish, with thick fillets and firm meat. A fairly priced fish, well worth the investment!

General characteristics

It is a pelagic species common in the surface waters of tropical and subtropical regions of all oceans. It has an elongated, torpedo-shaped body and can reach 250 cm in length and weigh over 80 kg.
