General characteristics

Widely consumed on the Brazilian coast. There is no sustainable farming of this species, only extractive fishing. Be aware: for every 1 kg of shrimp caught in the sea, another 9 kg of bycatch (other species with no commercial value) are killed. Therefore, prioritize sustainably farmed shrimp.
