General information
General characteristics
It gets its popular name from the three black spots on its lateral fin that extend to its pectoral fins. This species can reach 10 kg in weight and has a bluish color on its back. In the state of Ceará, its production comes from artisanal fishing by rafts and small boats operating near the coast, using surface lines and hooks, bottom lines, and gillnets as fishing gear.
