General information

General characteristics

A typical fish of rocky shores and coral reefs, found up to 200 meters deep. Adults can be found in even deeper regions. Juveniles, on the other hand, appear in shallow waters (including mangrove roots and brackish lagoons). It is a species that has a minimum size for capture and a closed season for reproduction. From August 1st to September 30th, capture is prohibited, and the minimum size is 60 cm.
